Is this 100% hand-drawn, or is it a digital print / AI-generated?
It is 100% genuinely hand-drawn by a human artist. We strictly do not use AI, Photoshop filters, or digital printing shortcuts. Every piece is sketched on physical archival paper using real graphite pencils. When you unbox your portrait, you will physically see the natural graphite sheen, the texture of the paper, and the actual indentations of the pencil tip. (Want extra peace of mind? Just leave a note at checkout, and we will gladly send you a short video of your artwork being drawn on our drafting table!)
How long does it take to receive my custom portrait?
Because every piece is 100% meticulously hand-drawn from scratch, creating your artwork takes 7 to 14 business days. Once you approve your digital preview, tracked transit takes roughly 5–12 business days for the US/Europe (and 10–15 days for the rest of the world). We strongly recommend ordering at least 2.5 weeks before your special occasion!
Can I see the drawing before it gets shipped?
Yes, absolutely! We never ship blind. Once your sketch is finished, we will email you a high-resolution digital proof. We offer unlimited minor revisions at this stage—we will gladly adjust shadows, expressions, or details until your heart says, “Yes, that is them.” Your physical portrait will strictly NOT be shipped until we get your final written approval.
Can you combine people or pets from separate photos into one drawing?
Yes! This is our studio's specialty. If you don't have a single group photo, simply upload the individual pictures of each subject. Our artists will expertly balance the lighting, scale, and perspective to merge everyone together into one seamless, natural family composition.
My favorite photograph is old or slightly blurry. Will it work?
In most cases, yes! While bright, high-resolution photos allow for the finest hyper-detailing, our professional artists are trained to reconstruct facial features from older, damaged, or imperfect snapshots. If you are unsure, please send your picture to our Contact Page before ordering — we will review it for free within 24 hours and let you know!
How do you package delicate graphite drawings? Will it smudge in the mail?
Your artwork is 100% protected against smudging. Before leaving our studio, every completed drawing is sealed with a professional matte fixative spray that permanently locks the graphite particles to the paper. Unframed drawings are wrapped in acid-free tissue paper and shipped inside heavy-duty, crush-resistant reinforced art tubes.
