Shipping policy

At NaumetsArtShop, every single portrait is 100% handcrafted to order. Because genuine art takes time, our delivery process is broken down into two distinct phases: Artwork Creation and Transit Time.

Please read the timeline below carefully before placing your order.

Phase 1: Artwork Creation & Proofing (7–14 Business Days)
1.The Sketching Phase: Once your order is placed and your reference photo is reviewed, our artist begins drawing.
2.Digital Preview: Within 7 to 10 business days, we will send a high-resolution digital preview of your portrait to the email address provided at checkout.
3.Your Approval: We offer unlimited minor revisions. Your physical artwork will strictly NOT be packed or shipped until we receive your final, written approval.

(Please note: If you request adjustments to the drawing, please allow an additional 1–2 business days per revision cycle).

Phase 2: Estimated Transit Times
Once you approve your preview, your portrait is treated with a smudge-resistant fixative, carefully packaged, and dispatched within 1–2 business days.
Estimated transit times from the moment of dispatch are:

United States: 10 – 15 business days
United Kingdom: 5 – 10 business days
European Union: 5 – 12 business days
Canada & Australia: 10 – 117 business days
Rest of the World: 10 – 15 business days

(Business days exclude Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays).

Shipping Rates & Tracking
1.Standard Shipping: We are proud to offer Free Worldwide Shipping on all orders.
2.Express Shipping: Expedited courier options (DHL / FedEx) may be available at checkout for an additional fee.
3.Tracking: The moment your package leaves our studio, you will receive an automated email containing your personal tracking number and a live tracking link.

Packaging: How Your Art is Protected
We take extreme precautions to guarantee your artwork arrives in pristine, gallery-ready condition:
Unframed Portraits: Sealed with a professional fixative spray, wrapped in acid-free archival tissue paper, and shipped inside a heavy-duty, crush-resistant reinforced art tube.

Customs, Duties, and Taxes

By placing an order, the Buyer acknowledges and agrees that any customs duties, import taxes, value-added taxes (VAT), goods and services taxes (GST), brokerage fees, customs clearance fees, handling fees, and any other governmental or carrier-imposed charges arising from the importation of the purchased goods into the destination country (collectively, the "Import Charges") shall be the sole responsibility of the Buyer.

Unless expressly stated otherwise in the product listing, checkout page, shipping method description, or order confirmation, all orders are shipped on a duties-and-taxes-unpaid basis, and Import Charges are not included in the purchase price or shipping charges paid to the Seller.

Where a product listing, shipping method, or checkout process explicitly states that duties and taxes are included in the purchase price or shipping cost (DDP – Delivered Duty Paid), the applicable Import Charges will be paid by the Seller on behalf of the Buyer to the extent specified in such offer.

The Buyer agrees to timely pay all applicable Import Charges required for customs clearance and delivery of the goods. Failure or refusal to pay such charges may result in delays, storage fees, return of the shipment, abandonment, destruction of the goods, or other actions taken by customs authorities or carriers.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, if the Buyer refuses delivery, fails to pay Import Charges, or otherwise causes the shipment to be returned, abandoned, or destroyed, the Seller shall have no obligation to refund any amounts paid for the goods, shipping costs, customs charges, return shipping fees, storage fees, handling fees, or any other costs incurred in connection with the order.

The Seller shall not be liable for any delays, additional costs, penalties, confiscations, or other actions taken by customs authorities or governmental agencies in the destination country.

The customer is strictly responsible for covering any such import fees. NaumetsArtShop has no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs delays are rare, but strictly out of our control.

Damaged or Lost Packages
Art is delicate. While shipping damage happens to less than 1% of our shipments, we stand 100% behind our work:
1.If your artwork arrives damaged: Please email us at info.naumets@gmail.com within 48 hours of delivery. You must include clear photographs of both the damaged drawing and the damaged external packaging. Upon verification, we will sketch and ship a complete replacement to you at zero cost.
2.If your package is lost: A package is officially declared "lost" if the tracking link shows no movement for 20 consecutive business days. In this rare event, we will immediately issue an expedited replacement drawing.

Incorrect Address Disclaimer
Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. If a package is returned to our studio due to an incorrect, incomplete, or undeliverable address provided by the customer, the customer will be responsible for the actual cost of re-shipping the package.
